Going green for kids! Our biggest fans, Caroline-Daisy and Lainey-Marie, gave our new movie, First Snow in the Woods: The Movie, the green light.

We received this charming card (shown at left) from them yesterday and are we ever pleased! “Scarecrow Love”, the song they refer to in the card, is the song from our new movie.

The movie follows the plight of a scarecrow who’s afraid of winter. The scarecrow regains his confidence to trust the changing seasons learning from a little mouse and the animals of the forest who are busy preparing for the year’s first winter storm.

Caroline-Daisy, Lainey-Marie and Dawn, their mother, are wonderful friends and nature lovers. Thank you Caroline-Daisy, Lainey-Marie and Dawn for the beautiful card.

Our art director Karen McDiarmid had a nice surprise yesterday! Her family visited our studio and spent time with Karen, Carl and Jean reviewing our new movie, First Snow in the Woods: The Movie.

Karen’s Aunt Margie is a huge fan of Carl and Jean’s nature prints and children’s books and movies. Karen says that her Aunt Margie’s whole downstairs is decorated with Stranger in the Wood’s posters and prints.

Margie and Gene’s granddaughter Breyanna, 11, and friend Lily, 8, enjoyed playing with our studio cats and dog and reviewing First Snow in the Woods: The Movie. “Breyanna has been a fan for years! Lily giggled during the whole movie,” said Karen.

We wish to thank Karen’s family for visiting and for their enthusiasm and passion for our products.

The screening of First Snow in the Woods: The Movie, our new children’s nature movie, was enjoyed by students from Spring Mills Elementary School in Highland, Michigan. I shot video with my small pocket sized Flip video camera of the children asking questions to our office manager Becky Ferguson, and our art director, Karen McDiarmid.

And please don’t worry. Morgan, the student in the back of the room who was not able to ask her complete question, was able to ask it later that same day. Stay tuned-you’ll hear her question and our answer in a future video clip.

Katie Baxter, our favorite child reviewer and niece of our Art Director Karen McDiarmid, wrote the following review of our new children’s nature movie, First Snow in the Woods: The Movie:

No artificial flavors, just natural beauty! This video has absolutely amazing photography and wonderful voices.

This video is not long, but it’s long enough to know you love it! The mouse in Scarecrow’s ‘heart pocket’ teaches Scarecrow that winter isn’t so bad as long as you follow your heart song.

But Scarecrow and the mouse keep getting interrupted by a gullible crow trying to help his bud Scarecrow.

You will like this movie if you love animals and nature. The animals are adorable and the scenery is lovely. Check out First Snow in the Woods: The Movie today!
