Jack Hanna saves hikers from grizzly bear attack

Zookeeper Jack Hanna, Director Emeritus at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, saved hikers from a possible grizzly bear attack Saturday. See the video below as Jack Hanna is interviewed by ABC News’ Diane Sawyer.

Jack Hanna and his wife Suzi were hiking in Montana’s Glacier National Park in mid afternoon. As they came around a corner they saw two hikers, along with two other groups of hikers, and a mother grizzly and yearlings within yards.

“You cannot run from these animals. They run a football field in six seconds, 100 yards,” said Jack Hanna in the interview.
