Injured bird rescue: International Bird Rescue Research Center

The International Bird Rescue Research Center (IBRRC) is conducting injured bird rescue to help oiled birds in the Gulf. I keep hearing the name of this organization in the news and wanted to learn more about them.

IBRRC is working with the Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research, the lead oiled wildlife organization on the ground, to set up and staff rehabilitation centers in Louisiana, Alabama Mississippi and Florida, to conduct injured bird rescue. They now have more than 40 members of their Oil Spill Response Team working on the Gulf Oil Spill.
