Baby musk ox taken to wildlife center

Have you ever seen a baby musk ox? This little guy (or girl) is very cute (see photo at “Baby musk ox taken to Wildlife Center“).

The baby musk ox was found in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, far from Anchorage, its natural habitat, wandering around. Officials at the Department of Fish and Game and the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center were contacted. It may have lost it’s mother.

The baby musk ox was found in Prudhoe Bay AK far from Anchorage in it’s natural habitat. It took several concerned oil field workers from Ch2MHill, A.S.C.I.,Alaska Clean Seas, and of course BP and Conoco Phillips, to rescue secure and fly the baby musk ox to Anchorage where it was met by the highly skilled and trained staff of the Alaska Wildlife Concervation Center. http://www.awcc.org
It is in good health and feeding on a special baby musk ox formula. It has been named Mukluk.
