In a bid to save buffalo at Yellowstone National Park,  billionaire Ted Turner has offered to hold the animals for five years on his sprawling Montana ranch while a new home for them is found, according to the article “Turner’s bid for park bison stokes wildlife debate” in The Washington Post.

88 bison from Yellowstone National Park face possible slaughter.

According to the article, Turner is not offering to do this for nothing. He says he will care for the bison only if he can keep up to 90 percent of their offspring. The plan is in sharp debate.
