These quotes from Rick Potts, the Park Service’s chief of conservation and outdoor programs, captured my interest. They are from “Take a hike and call me in the morning”, an article in The Washington Post that’s worth reading.
Doctors across the country are prescribing nature walks to patients to prevent health problems.
Richard Louv, author of the best-selling book “The Last Child in the Woods”, is quoted in the article, “I think that physicians can do more [to get people out into nature] than any other professional.”
