The article “Otter and dogs best friends at wildlife sanctuary” caught my eye.
A river otter named Ootie befriended some dogs and now lives at the SOS Wildlife Resources wildlife sanctuary in Darien, Georgia.
On one of Elizabeth Oxnard’s afternoon walks with her four dogs along the Sapelo River, she looked behind her to see Ootie following along.
“They’re natural enemies,” said Oxnard about Ootie and her dogs. “They don’t like each other.”
But against all odds, Ootie the river otter joined the pack for a stroll and she and the dogs became fast friends. View the article. Watch the video.
