Everyone seems to love black bear cubs! The Wisconsin Black Bear Education Center’s mission is “to observe the habits of black bears in a real-life atmosphere and to provide educational experiences about black bears for people of all ages.”

In the article “Getting up close and personal with the wild black bear“, Traska , the center’s founder, says bears have an acute sense of smell. Their olfactory openings are located in the front part of the roof of the mouth.

Even the scent from a candy wrapper can cause a bear to come searching for food. More information.
